Yes. This allows the bike (component) to be better aligned. This greatly aids in the application of the film, allowing for vertical alignment and for working in a comfortable posture.

The “standard version” is the smaller set of both. Here, on the whole, all the important areas on the bike are taken into account. The “extended version” is the larger set and comes pretty close to a full wrap. The set is more extensive, larger, and contains more segments that need to be adhered. It requires more work to apply, but it is certainly worth it.

The coloured areas are meant to symbolise the areas where the film is applied. These are larger for the “extended version” than for the “standard version”.

It’s definitely possible. It should be noted that the matte surface will look glossy after application of glossy film. Conversely, if matte film is applied to glossy paint, the surface will appear matte.

Yes, it’s possible. After wrapping, there is a small, approx. 1mm wide “air bridge” around the sticker.

Yes, it’s possible. It is important that the film is pulled off slowly and carefully and not torn. It is also important to ensure that the film is not under tension during removal. Using the example of the top tube: first pull off the sides on the left and right towards the middle. Then remove the segment from the top down. You can also use a hair dryer to help. This can be used to heat the film, which helps facilitate a gentle removal.

A “Standard Kit” weighs around 50g.

Here is an example that clearly illustrates the application of a “mixed version” set.

It may happen that the glossy film turns yellow after a period of time. This is almost invisible – only visible on very bright, i.e. white surfaces – and is due to contamination in the PU, which can be cleaned again to a certain extent. This is a normal aging process and is not a defect.

Speaking from personal experience, the frame/fork/crank should be disassembled before being wrapped. If this is not possible, at least the wheels and the chain (if chain lock is present) should be dismantled.

It depends on the severity of the scratches/paint chips. If these are already larger, it makes no sense. This is because the scratches are still just as visible after application, and it can happen that you make the paint chips even larger when you remove the film.

Your bike should be, if possible, new or meticulously cleaned (washed and degreased) and not polished. Because the wrapping is done wet, it may still flush dirt out of the smallest crevices that could get under the paint protection film.
